2021 Ford F-250
If you need a truck that can just get the job done, the 2021 Ford F-250 is just that truck. Offering incredible towing capabilities and power along with luxurious options makes the F-250 the truck for getting things done well, and in style.
Trim Levels
The 2021 Ford F-250 is available in six different trims, starting with the base XL increasing up to XLT, Lariat, Platinum, King Ranch, and a Limited at the top end. All trims display a big, boxy exterior with lots of angles and big bright lights. It definitely screams bold work truck. The different trims have different exterior accents, chrome, and colors but they all share the same general aesthetic down to the huge “SUPER DUTY” planted on the hood and even bigger on the tailgate, so you can show off just what this truck is.
Engine
There are three engines available to power these trims, a 6.2-liter, and 7.3-liter gas-powered or 6.7-liter turbodiesel V-8. The 6.2-liter is the base engine and makes 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. This is the standard for all trims except the Limited, which only offers the turbodiesel option. The 7.3-liter gasoline engine will produce 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The heavy-hitter of the group, the 6.7-liter turbodiesel, provides 470 horsepower and an eye-popping 1,050 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The 6.2-liter engine can be equipped with either a six-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission. The 7.3-liter gas and the workhorse 6.7-liter turbodiesel come with the 10-speed that can divert power to all four wheels or just the rear depending on what's needed. The 6.7-liter will give you a towing capacity of a whopping 37,000 pounds.
Interior
If it's a Super Duty truck, naturally, it's super spacious inside. What you might not expect is a luxurious and comfortable interior that can rival luxury cars. Enjoy this luxury in a regular cab, extended cab, or a crew cab. The regular cab can fit up either three passengers or two passengers and an extra-wide console. The extended cab and crew cab can fit up to six, but the rear legroom is a bit tight. The legroom is plentiful in the crew cab. Wide and soft seats with ample thigh support make the longest haul not only tolerable but downright comfortable. The rear seats are also very comfortable and there are optional in-seat massagers for the ultimate in plush luxury.
Safety
Large Super Duty trucks aren't comprehensively safety tested for crashes. However, they do come with some nice safety features. For example, the XLT trim and up comes standard with automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitors that are also an option on the base XL. Standard on the Platinum and Limited trims, and optional on the King Ranch, is adaptive cruise control. Adaptive cruise control allows you to set a speed and it will automatically adjust if the proximity to the vehicle in front of you becomes too close. Also, towing cameras are available for most models and highly recommended.
